“I Already Like You” was my first big leap into pop. Lazerbeak actually created this beat or for a kids’ music band, but I very happily ferreted it away from that pile. The video was a particularly fun project: it features a busted silver PT Cruiser and a lot of goofing around in shopping carts in a Target parking lot. (When my now-boyfriend saw the video he said he thought it was just ‘masterful’— the Cruiser was just the perfect total doofus of a car to cast. It is my actual car.)
